Real Estate Advice: Home Staging

Does Home Staging Have an Impact?

We all know that home staging works. That would be like asking does a person dressed up get more attention than someone who looks like they just woke up. Putting your best foot forward is so important in real estate. Not only does staging help sell your home but it helps the pictures and videos sell your home. Many people are very visual and want to know what a home could look like. I've had many buyers who wanted to buy the model home because they just cannot imagine furnishing and organizing a home the way a true stager will do.

Summary Statistics from National Association of Realtors:
62% of listing agents says professional staging decreases the time the house is on the market.
40% of buyers agents says buyers are more willing to walk through a house that has been staged.
How Much of a Difference:
Simply, staging should make your home sell faster and at a higher price.

31% of Agents saw staging help a home sell for 1 to 5% more.
13% of Agents saw staging help a home sell for 6 to 10% more.
Most Important Rooms
The living room is one of the most important rooms to stage. Followed by the master bedroom, kitchen, and outdoor space. Staging helps a buyer vision how they can live in the home. By making a buyer both understand the flow and be sold on the visual appeal you are letting the home sell itself.
